Today marks 11 years of Wheaton Whaley Home. 🥹

I started this business when I found out I was pregnant with Abby. Andrew was in school full time, I was making peanuts, and we were basically just trying to figure out how to make it all work.

We had absolutely no idea what this little business would become. No idea how many homes we’d get to be a tiny part of, how many incredible customers would turn into friends, or how many people would support this dream along the way.

Eleven years later, I’m so incredibly grateful for every order, every share, every person who has walked through our doors, and every single person who has cheered us on.

And the wildest part?

It still feels like we’re just getting started. 💗

There are some really exciting things on the horizon for Wheaton Whaley, and I cannot WAIT to bring y’all along for what’s next.

Honestly, I’m just glad I’m raising strong-willed ladies who see “can’t” as more of a suggestion than a rule. And I hope they see that from me as well. Every road block is just a chance for a detour. ❤️

I sent these to our gal Maria and she said “is this your way of telling me you’re pregnant??!” 🤣🤣

I won’t pretend I’m not a little sad that I won’t be designing another nursery for one of my own babies (Type 1 diabetes has changed that dream for our family in ways I never expected).

But getting to create these spaces for your growing families is such a gift. Every nursery we design lets me be a tiny part of one of life’s sweetest seasons, and I don’t take that for granted.

So keep sending me your nursery projects… I’ll pour all of my baby fever into making them beautiful. 🩷💙

One of our favorite parts of this job is helping people. We genuinely love talking fabrics, pillows, room layouts, and all the little details that make a house feel like home!

But we’re also a small business, which means on any given day we’re answering messages, shipping orders, designing new collections, taking care of our amazing team, and trying to keep all the pillows (not plates 😉) in the air.

We’re always happy to help, but we also have to keep the business running (and that means we can’t do things for free). The kids need shoes don’t ya know. 🤣

Truth be told, we’d rather be designing beautiful things, helping customers, and packing orders than trying to figure out which trending audio won’t disappear tomorrow. 😅 But here we are… doing our best, wearing all the hats, and hoping the algorithm is in a good mood.

Y’all… if we had a dollar for every time we wished we could make fabric mills hurry up, we’d probably own one by now. 😉

One thing most people don’t realize is that the home textile world doesn’t work like big-box retail. Many of our fabrics are woven, printed, or finished in small batches, and once a mill runs out, we’re all waiting together for the next production run. That can mean longer lead times or an unexpected backorder—even when everything looked good just days before.

Believe us, nobody hates that news more than we do. We stay in constant contact with our mills, check inventory daily, order ahead whenever possible, and do everything we can to keep your projects moving. Sometimes it’s smooth sailing… and sometimes the fabric world likes to keep us humble.

Thank y’all for your patience and grace. We know waiting isn’t fun, but we promise we’re working behind the scenes every single day to get your beautiful pieces home as quickly as we can. 🤍
